Letting Go and Healing

Picture
When there doesn't seem to be any hope left hold on a little bit longer. Just around the bend, or just over the hill there is hope. Hold on to your faith. If you don't feel you can, there is always someone close to you who will hold it for you until you can hold it again.
On a personal note, our local hospices were outstanding. We did in-home care with mom and we just cannot sing their praises loud enough! If that is the path that your loved one has choosen we encourage you to stay on it. As always feel free to email us about anything.  One of the hardest things is to tell your loved one that it is okay to go. What you really need to know is that often times they are holding on for us. As soon as they know we will be okay the rest is up to the Lord and them.
We hope this has been helpful, even a little bit. There are wonderful books out there too. We will update the site with that information as soon as possible.

Until Next time,
Keep the Faith
         &
Hold on to Your Hope!

We would encourage you to reach out to your family, friends, and church if you have one. Those will be your best resources. If you feel you need more, and a lot of people do, here are some helpful links. Your Local hospital where your loved one was being cared for, can often times help you also.

http://www.recover-from-grief.com This website has an abundance of  resources. We would encourage you to check it out.
http://www.thegrievingheart.info This website had the same type of genre. However, the seem to seperate the books into sections. Parent, wife ie.

Now I could've put up a list of "top 10". Honestly that's like saying, we all like the same taste in music!  Hardly, right!  I'm sure our taste in books differ as much as music. ") So I played it safe. I put the websites up that could help navigate you to the book best suited for you & your needs.

I will tell you one thing though. I am old school. I love the smell of a book, feel of it.  Everything about them! So when we were going thru everything with Ma, and received an audio book. Well I tucked it onto the shelf.  Well as time marched on, that little box kept staring at me. So one day I grabbed the darn thing & played it in my car as drove around.  I was sucked into this book. It really had no healing element to it.  I guess it was an unfinished item that was needed to be done.

The book was " Have A Little Faith " By Mitch Albom
It was amazing. That was the only book, aside fom my Bible that I read.
